Menus don’t stay open when touching them once on touchscreens
Steps to reproduce
- Have a device with a touchscreen attached.
- Run an application with a menu, for instance
gtk4-print-editor
. - Touch the File menu.
Current behavior
The menu stays open as long as the finger which opened it stays on the touchscreen. This means a quick tap will close the menu right away, while if you want to select a menu item you have to use a second finger to touch it while keeping the first one pressed. Additionally it is currently impossible to select a menu item by touching the menu and then sliding the finger up to the wanted item and then releasing the press.
Expected outcome
A quick tap would open the menu, a second tap would select the item.
A tap followed by a slide down and then a release would select the item under the release.
