Trailing space of a wrapped line is not visually marked as selected

Description
Created attachment 200941 Screencast illustrating the bug
- Create a new document in gedit, and put text to have a line wider than the screen, so the line is wrapped. Example:
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit ini sapien ante; dictum id, pharetra ut, malesuada et, magna
Say the previous line is displayed like the following (· is used to mark space):
Lorem·ipsum·dolor·sit·amet,·consectetuer· adipiscing·elit·ini·sapien·ante;·dictum· id,·pharetra·ut,·malesuada·et,·magna
- Select with "Shift-Right arrow" from the beginning of the line to the trailing space of the first wrapped line ({} are used to mark beginning and end selection):
{Lorem·ipsum·dolor·sit·amet,·consectetuer·} adipiscing·elit·ini·sapien·ante;·dictum· id,·pharetra·ut,·malesuada·et,·magna
Actual result: trailing space is really selected, but it's not visually marked as selected with a blue background ([] are used to mark visual selection):
{[Lorem·ipsum·dolor·sit·amet,·consectetuer]·} adipiscing·elit·ini·sapien·ante;·dictum· id,·pharetra·ut,·malesuada·et,·magna
Expected result: the trailing space should be included in the blue background:
{[Lorem·ipsum·dolor·sit·amet,·consectetuer·]} adipiscing·elit·ini·sapien·ante;·dictum· id,·pharetra·ut,·malesuada·et,·magna
