Removal of pixel cache looks set to make multiple programs malfunction
Steps to reproduce
- Diable the GTK pixel cache by inserting the string
GTK_DEBUG=no-pixel-cache
into the file/etc/environment
, as a manual anticipation, as it were, of commit #184424ae. - Reboot.
- See how column headers are missing from the programs gnome-systemmonitor, synaptic and nemo (and probably others). Screenshots and further description.

Additional information
See above for screenshots. They are from Ubuntu Gnome, whereas I have Mint Cinnamon.
The disabling of the cache - with you, upstream from me - was to fix another problem. I was using the /etc/environment hack whilst awaiting the arrival of the new version. I was asked to submit a new bug report; see the end of this page, that page being the bug report for the original proble,. So here it is ('it' being the new bug report).
PS: I would appreciate it were, when I switch 'template' above, everything I typed would not get deleted without warning. That, combined with terrible problems logging into gtk from my Firefox, makes things difficult.
