3.12.2 can't open /media and /mnt disks, 3.12.0 on another system works ok (both 22.04 Pop!OS)
On 3.12.2, If I try to open one of the other drives shown, I get this error on the mount point, even if I try to sneak past the mount point by using a soft link from home or opening with gThumb from the file mgr:
Error when getting information for file "/media/you/honkingspinner": no such file or directory
On both systems, /etc/fstab looks like
/dev/sdb1 /media/you/spin auto nosuid,nodev,nofail,x-gvfs-show 0 0
/dev/sdc1 /mnt/bigbox auto nosuid,nodev,nofail,x-gvfs-show 0 0
On the system w/ gthumb 3.12.2, I tried changing the initial uuid /dev to the simple form above, also tried putting 'comment=' before x-gvfs-show and removing it altogether. (And did 'mount -a' and restarted gthumb between tries.)
The 22.04 with gthumb 3.12.0 that works came from a successful Pop!os migration 21->22.04, while the 3.12.2 gthumb is in a from-scratch installation.
No dmesg errors.
If there's an easy way to revert to 3.12.0, I can verify if it's in the .0->.2 diff.
I see it has happened before, apparently due to gnome changes, but the old fixes don't seem to work.
Happens with both flatpak and deb installs on 3.12.2. The working 3.12.0 is deb, and that machine shows no gthumb update pending, but several gnome pkgs are waiting in OS Updates.
Maybe related? gthumb 3.12.2 doesn't show pics in my home dir, and only Pictures and Public folders. 3.12.0 seems normal. Gnome on both systems is 42.5. 64-bit and X11.
