Shrinking a LUKS-encrypted LVM partition which has already had the LUKS headers resized triggers a bug check
Related to #59 (closed).
I experienced the problem in #59 (closed), so I decided to shrink the LVM PV and the LUKS cryptofs before manually shrinking it, and then GParted rendered the partition as so:
key: "x" = used, " " = unused, "*" = unused and not used by the filesystem (fs smaller than partition)
xxxxxxxxxx **********
The *
refers to the now unused space I want to shrink.
I then attempt to shrink the partition to something like:
xxxxxxxxxx *
This causes GParted to bug check because of a message along the lines of "GParted Bug: Attempt to resize a partition to a size greater than or equal to the current size during a resize only operation."
Is GParted checking the LUKS headers here or something?
