AppData file has incorrect id
The desktop id in AppStream metadata was changed in c7ed1bf7 from gnumeric.desktop
to org.gnumeric.gnumeric
. There are two problems with this change:
- The actual desktop file is still called
gnumeric.desktop
instead oforg.gnumeric.gnumeric.desktop
. - The appdata file is still called
gnumeric.appdata.xml(.in)
instead oforg.gnumeric.gnumeric.appdata.xml(.in)
.
Because of this incorrect change, Gnumeric is missing in GNOME Software / KDE Discover in Fedora and other distributions.
Also, it looks like that Gnumeric is using an ancient format of AppStream metadata:
$ appstreamcli validate gnumeric.appdata.xml
E: ~:3: metainfo-ancient
Consider rewriting the AppData file using a more recent AppStream specification.
