Excel compatibility: consistency: rounding: contradiction between round() and text() for e.g. ( 0.02965, 4 )
=round( 0.02965, 4 )
-> 0.0297,
=text( 0.02965, "0.0000" )
-> 0.0296.
Expected would be ~7 for text too, as we aim for consistent 'round ties away from zero'. I know the binary representation for 0.02965 is 'undershot' ( 0.029649999999999927... ), but as it works for round I think it can work for 'text' too.
Excel is consistent ( at least for this value and with ver. 2010 ) and results in
=text( 0.02965, "0.0000"
-> 0.0297.
Same - unexpected ~6 you get in gnumeric if you make the column so narrow that only 4 decimal places can be displayed, also there Excel goes to ~7.
