Multiple problems in setting cell borders

Description
I'm using version 1.10.1
Problem 1 It matters what order I do things in. If I select a range of cells, then go to format the cell borders, and if I first select which borders, then the line style, and finally the border color, I get the wrong border and color. If I choose the color first, then line style, then which border, the border is set correctly. In my opinion one should be able to set these three characteristics of borders in any order. If instead you want to do things in a particular order (the wrong choice in my opinion), you should at least present it in the correct order or have a note on the page saying in what order these three characteristics should be chosen. But better to allow any order.
Problem 2 The default border shown is black. The default should be light grey, same as the sheet default.
Problem 3 Currently, if one sets a background color, the borders are cleared (or made the same color as the background, I can't tell which). This makes borders connected to background color. Setting borders should be independent of setting cell background color. I very often set colors in a range of cells, and then have to go back and fix the borders; this is very irritating.
Problem 4 When you select a range and go into the border-setting window, the left part of the window sometimes shows what the selected range has in it for borders, sometimes not (I suppose if existing borders are the sheet default or if there is currently an inconsistent set of borders in the selection). But the line style always defaults to thin (the bottom left choice) even if the existing lines being shown are different than this. That is, the border-setting window shows an inconsistent version of the current selection. I think it would be better to not try to represent what is already there, and to treat it only as what you intend to set the borders to, and perhaps even to have a note in the window notifying the user of this.
I have specified this as a "minor" issue because there are workarounds, mainly doing things in certain (nonintuitive) ways.
