Note contents will be lost when non-printable characters are included
Using v43.0 Archlinux packaging.
After having a note wiped out without notice I started taking daily backups. When a second followed the same behavior I found what is causing it.
- What happens: at the end of the day the system is shutdown. The next day the note is completely wiped out. Not even the title remains. One can just read something like
(Untitled 233)
and a blank body. - Cause: pasting non-printable characters such as
0x11
or0x12
. Gnote can cope with those characters all day long showing a block with hex codes which is sweet. Although after restoring the note from disk, something triggers the wiping of its full content.
Can this be fixed? Thank you!
