The degree character is ambiguous
It should be pretty obvious, but the degree character for temperature is ambiguous. It can imply both Celsius and Fahrenheit. Most countries use either, but in Canada both are in use although Celsius is more common and is the official Canadian temperature scale.
Right now it says 31° at Leirin airport, and that is definitely not true. In Norway we use Celsius, not Fahrenheit, and it is -1°C.
I would propose that all use of a simple degree symbol is appended with an “C” or an “F”, note that in Chinese there are special characters, or augment such numbers with a flyover that explicitly says whether it is Celsius or Fahrenheit.
