document gnomerc on help.gnome.org
What I expect:
- easy quick access to thorough documentation on the critical GNOME file ~/.gnomerc
What happens instead:
- Nothing in the search engine results. Nothing from https://help.gnome.org/. Nothing in devhelp. Nothing in the gnome-getting-started-docs.
help.gnome.org, where this documentation belongs, points me to the obsolete https://bugzilla.gnome.org/. That site points me to https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME. The github site doesn't have anything for the help web site (I searched ``help'' there), so I'm putting this issue into gnome-getting-started-docs.
How does ~/.gnomerc operate? Specifically:
- what perms does .gnomerc require? Recommend?
- is it run at session start or only after reboot?
- does it require an interpreter in the first line?
- if not, what is the default interpreter?
- how do I get it to open a terminal window and run a command in that
window and then wait either
- preferably leaving that window as an open, useful gnome-terminal shell
- or at a minimum, leaving the output of the command available for viewing until I manually (ick) close it?
