Scroll position resets when dismissing search
When searching for text inside a long document, the UI will scroll automatically and highlight the first instance.
At this point I usually press escape to dismiss the search panel, which resets the scoll position to where I was before initiating it. Here's a short demonstration of what I mean:

Pressing enter before dismissing the search keeps the scroll position as expected. I supposed because this "accepts" the search.
I'm not sure if this is by design, but I keep being surprised by this behavior. Other apps seem to work to my expectations: Gnome Web, Firefox, Chrome and IntelliJ.
In LibreOffice the scroll position only changes when enter is pressed - and kept once the search UI is dismissed.
