Have you tested Nightly to see if the issue has been fixed? If not, why? I didn't test the nightly version because this version (43.1) is delivered with ubuntu 22.10 and I would expect it to work. I also looked at the commits since the version 43.1 tag and there seem to be no big changes in the implementation.
Bug information
The editor fully uses one core if the xml file output.xdmf is opened. This could be normal if it tries to recognize the structure to provide syntax highlighting, but even if I close the file, the cpu usage is still at 100%.
Steps to reproduce
- Open the appended file output.xdmf
- Observe cpu usage
- Close file
- Observe cpu usage
Current behaviour
The editor does not stop processing of the file after closing it
Is there any error information in the system journal? No
Expected behaviour
I would expect the editor to stop trying to process the file after closing it, at least after some seconds.
