[Feature Request] Adding Dynamic Background Transparency
It would be neat to have a feature that allows the gnome terminal background to have a dynamic background transparency. Here is how I think it could work.
- If Gnome terminal detects that it is on top on another window, it sets the background transparency to x%.
- If Gnome terminal detects that it is not on top of another window, it turns off background transparency or sets it to 0%.
This would be great for users as you could have the best of both worlds (a transparent background for copying commands, researching, etc. and a non transparent background when programming, system administration, etc).
I am a beginner programmer but if someone could point me to the code that handles background transparency, I could poke around in a branch. Thanks!
