Command line option to set window icon

Description
I'd like to be able to select the icon for an individual terminal window through a command line option (as path to an image file).
I often use the terminal not for the command line itself, but as an interface to a specific program (that is running on the shell). Examples include interpreters for programming languages, process monitoring (top), or remote connections (ssh). If I have a dedicted terminal window for each such task, I want to be able to quickly navigate between them. I already use the "-t" option to set window titles, but I'd like to distinguish windows also by their icons. Having an option that I can set in an application launcher would be great for this.
If this feature were implemented, it would also provide a work-around for bug 126081.
