WM_CLASS vs. --class option
Submitted by Karel Zak

Description
It seems that gnome-terminal ignores the --class option, try
gnome-terminal --class=foo
the xprop returns
WM_CLASS(STRING) = "gnome-terminal", "Gnome-terminal"
try the same with xterm -class foo
WM_CLASS(STRING) = "xterm", "foo"
Note that this functionality is really important for gnome-shell, because running applications are managed by the class name. For example I'd like to see a difference between normal terminal and terminal with "mutt" when I press Alt+Tab, ...etc.
