Keyboard shortcut for setting terminal title

Description
It would be nice if there was a default keyboard shortcut for the Set Title action under Edit -> Keyboard Shortcuts... -> Terminal. When many tabs are open, it is very useful to give meaningful names to them to make navigation easier. Thus a quick way to rename current tab would come in handy.
Why a keyboard shortcut? Because moving the hands off the keyboard and back when working with the terminal is slow and cumbersome.
With the default settings, one could press Alt+T and then s to run the same command via the menu. But if a user wants to hide the menu bar to save vertical space or if she unchecks the "Enable menu access keys" checkbox to be able to use Emacs-style navigation such as Alt+B (M-B) and Alt+F (M-F) in Bash, then the Alt+T s workaround can no longer be used.
It looks like Shift+Ctrl+I is a good candidate for the Set Title action. It is consistent with other Gnome Terminal shortcuts which also use Shift+Ctrl. The Shift+Ctrl+T shortcut is already in use, but 'I' reminds of the stressed vowel in 'Title', making up a nice mnemonic rule to remember the shortcut. Shift+Ctrl+I is easy to type on QWERTY keyboards by pressing left Shift and left Ctrl with your left hand and the I key with your third finger on the right hand.
Why add a default shortcut and not let everyone invent their own key combination? UI consistency is always good. It is nice when someone else's system or a freshly installed one behaves in a familiar way, just like your own computer. Some people won't bother to customize keyboard shortcuts but will happily use those provided by default once they find out about a shortcut via the menu or by seeing others using it.
(By the way, this and other shortcuts can be made more discoverable by listing them in the context menu for a tab title, for instance:
Move Tab Left Shift+Ctrl+Page Up Move Tab Right Shift+Ctrl+Page Down Set Title... Shift+Ctrl+I Close Tab Shift+Ctrl+W
The downside is that the currently tiny context menu would become a bit overloaded with information.)
What do you think? Would it be possible to include this in Gnome 3.0?
I'm running Gnome 2.30.0 under Ubuntu 10.04.
