Web-browser like bookmarks for commands and little scripts

Description
Sometimes it's hard to remember some rarely-used commands. Today I've learnt "echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches" for clearing file cache under Linux. I'm pretty sure I'd forget it in about a week, so I thought that I'd be nice to have some command bookmarking in gnome-terminal. The requested functionality is the ability to predefine some named code snippets (not necessarily one-liners) and execute them by selecting one of bookmarks menu items.
I imagine, that parametrization (templates) of snippets could be a really great thing too. For example my script could be "echo $NUM > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches; echo 'done'" called "Clear file cache" and after selecting it, the gnome terminal would pop up a window asking for the value of NUM and then execute the command.
