Gnome-terminal ignores pressing "m" key unless shift is held

Description
Please describe the problem: Pressing the "m" key in gnome-terminal does not cause an "m" to be displayed or added to the command line. Holding down the shift key and pressing "m" causes a capital "M" to be displayed, as expected. When caps lock is active, pressing "m" does nothing, but holding shift and pressing "m" causes a lowercase "m" to be displayed, as expected.
All other letters work as expected, and the "m" key works as expected in other programs, including other programs that use the same VTE library. Sometimes the bug randomly goes away and "m" works again, but apparently "m" never works as soon as gnome-terminal is started.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open gnome-terminal.
- Try to type in a command that contains the letter "m", e.g. "man".
Actual results: Command appears with all "m"s missing, e.g. "an".
Expected results: The "m" key should work like the others.
Does this happen every time? Sometimes it doesn't happen, but it seems like every time gnome-terminal is started, the bug is present.
