inconsistent key bindings

Description
For most applicationsl ctrl-W closes the window and ctrl-Q closes all windows. For gnome-terminal, shift-ctrl-W does nothing and shift-ctrl-Q closes only the current window. This is rather unintuitive. The shift bit is necessary of course, but the inconsistency between the use of W for closing windows and Q for closing all windows is not necessary.
Other information: I practically live in a gnome-terminal and still have to refer to the keybindings in the menubar on a regular basis to remember this.
