gnome-terminal slow with cursor resting inside of window borders on Solaris 8 Elite 3D video board
Submitted by gra..@..et.com
Description
Package: gnome-terminal Version: 1.2.1 Severity: High
On Solaris 8 with Elite 3Dm6 video board, when mouse cursor is sitting inside of the gnome-terminal window, screen updates (scrolling, typing, etc.) become very slow. Taking the cursor outside of the window border greatly speeds things up.
Searching sunsolve.sun.com found that patch 108604-10 solved a similar problem with CDE, and I currently have that patch applied. Currently the xterm and dtterm supplied with Solaris 8 do not have this behavior.
