Description: gnome-terminal segfaults when i cat an mp3. mp3 was about 5284k, reproducible. Did not happen when I tried cat'ing a large tgz. or a different mp3. If you need more info about the particular mp3, contact me. Version of gnome-terminal was 1.2.1-helix6 (Debian packages for helixgnome) thnx. - brian.

Still segfaults with Debian package of gnome terminal 1.2.4 I'm on Xfree86 4.0.1-x, i don't know if that makes any difference. If I create a new terminal by selecting 'New terminal' on another gnome-terminal, then cat the mp3, both will die,
I don't fully understand why, as as far as I can tell, the new gnome-terminal process is not a child of the pre-existing gnome-terminal, rather, ps output lists it as a child of my window manager, which happens to be enlightenment.
Incidentally, Eterm 0.9 and xterm w/XFree86 4.0.1d(148) do not crash.
I'll try and come up with a bit more useful info.
