Description
Please describe the problem: The font rendering is not quite right. Fonts all appear too thick. Here are some screenshots.

You'll notice that I'm comparing against the font as its rendered in the font-chooser dialog for gnome-terminal itself. Obviously, something is up.
Someone else appears to have this problem as well: http://gnomesupport.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11813
Steps to reproduce: Run gnome-terminal and look at the fonts. I'm using ubuntu 6.10, if that makes a difference.
Actual results: They look too bold.
Expected results: They wouldn't look so bold.
Does this happen every time? Yes.

Version: 2.16.x
