gnome-terminal leaves "phantom" logins
Submitted by kas..@..om.com
Description
Package: gnome-terminal Version: 1.0.1
Running the gnome-terminal application works fine with no error messages, but upon exiting and entering "who", it is revealed that the ttyp's of the gnome-terminal process are still present even though the terminal has exited:
Tue Mar 9:~# who root tty1 Mar 9 07:56 root tty2 Mar 9 09:31 root ttyp0 Mar 9 10:38 (:0.0) root ttyp1 Mar 9 10:37 (:0.0)
the above output was recorded even though the only terminals actually open were tty1 and 2, and the X server had even been completely shut down. This problem does not occur when using a normal xterm.
I'm using Redhat 5.2, kernel 2.2.3, glibc 2.0.7, XFree86 3.3.3.1, Windowmaker
thanks,
