Description
When a line is just too wide (one or two characters two wide) for Gnome Terminal, it is mangled in a stange manner (causing characters to disappear), instead of breaking it to two lines.
To reproduce (at least on my computer and settings) 1)Start up gnome-terminal with default width $ grep dos /etc/fstab /dev/sda5 /dos vfat user,auto,umask=000,shortname=winnt 2
(0 is missing)
2)Widen gnome-terminal massively $ grep dos /etc/fstab /dev/sda5 /dos vfat user,auto,umask=000,shortname=winnt 0 2
(NOTICE THE 0)
3)Narrow gnome-terminal massively $ grep dos /etc/fstab /dev/sda5 /dos vfat user,auto,umask=000,shortname=winnt 0 2
It is displayed broken into several lines, but present as two lines, as it should be.
