Copy URL detection regexes under GPLv2+
I'm using https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-terminal/-/blob/master/src/terminal-regex.h in my GNOME Shell extension: https://github.com/amezin/gnome-shell-extension-ddterm/blob/master/urldetect_patterns.js (C header simply converted to JS)
And just now I realized something is wrong. When I upload the extension to https://extensions.gnome.org/, I have to agree that it will be distributed under GPLv2+, but the original terminal-regex.h
is under GPLv3.
May I get a permission to distribute urldetect_patterns.js
, derived from terminal-regex.h
, under GPLv2+?
From Git history it seems that the file in question was written by @egmontkob alone
