Package: gnome-terminal Severity: enhancement Version: 2.2.2 Synopsis: Lightened transparent background Bugzilla-Product: gnome-terminal Bugzilla-Component: general
Description: Description of Problem: First, sorry for my poor engish. It's a feature request. Gnome-terminal includes the popular dark-transparent background feature. It looks like it would not be dfficult to implement a light-transparent background, for those of us who prefer black characters on a white background. The bar that scales from "No Darkening" to "Maximum Darkening" could scale from "Lightening" to "Darkening", with a default position at the middle. Since by default the gnome-terminal is set on "white on black", the background-darkening feature can seem odd. This way, it would seem more coherent, would benefit many users, for a minor tweak of the code. In addition, gnome-terminal would be the first terminal (as far as I know) to have this feature...
Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. 2. 3.
