Remove "Open new terminals in:" setting in Preferences
gnome-terminal-3.34.2-1.fc31.x86_64
vte-profile-0.58.3-1.fc31.x86_64
vte291-0.58.3-1.fc31.x86_64
- The button on the left in the title bar always opens a new tab, no matter what
"Open new terminals in:"
is set to. - The first item after the zoom button in the main menu on the right is "New Window" and always opens a window, no matter what
"Open new terminals in:"
is set to. - Changing the
"Open new terminals in:"
setting does not influence the behavior ofShift+Ctrl+N
orShift+Ctrl+T
either.
I cannot update https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-terminal/blob/master/help/C/pref-tab-window.page as the outcome of changing that setting is obviously unclear to me.
