Description: Description of Problem:
I'm unable to enter umlauts or other special characters into applications running in an gnome-terminal or in the gnome-terminal itself.
Steps to reproduce the problem:
- Open gnome-terminal
- Try to enter é,ç or ö or something using compose or deadkeys
Actual Results:
you'll end up in getting ´e and "o
Expected Results:
The actual umlauts as in other applications (xterm, gedit, bug-buddy,...)
How often does this happen?
every time
Additional Information:
gnome2 RC1, XFree4.2, system settings for keyboardlayout: Section "InputDevice" Driver "keyboard" Identifier "keyboard" Option "XkbRules" "xfree86" Option "XkbModel" "pc105" Option "XkbLayout" "de" EndSection
Other gnome2/X applications work fine as expected
