Description
Package: gnome-terminal Severity: normal Version: 1.4.0.6 Synopsis: gnome-terminal crashes immediately: "undefined symbol" Bugzilla-Product: gnome-terminal Bugzilla-Component: general
Description: I did an apt-get upgrade on Monday. Suddenly gnome-terminal doesn't work. My previous upgrade was last week. Here's what happens:
1 > gnome-terminal gnome-terminal: relocation error: gnome-terminal: undefined symbol: zvt_term_set_meta_use_high_bit
Here's my version:
2 > gnome-terminal --version Gnome Terminal 1.4.0.6
I'm using Debian woody, currently running "regular gnome" --- I had been running Ximian Gnome but after upgrading I find that I'm back to the "regular" variety...
3 > uname -a
Linux ockham 2.4.16 #8
SMP Wed Jan 9 21:01:59 CET 2002 i686 unknown
I'm sure that I'm forgetting some important info. I've attached the binary file itself... A friend with a related but different, independent distribution (Ximian gnome, Debian GNU/Linux kernel 2.4.9, woody distribution) has the same problem on his system.
