Stored window position on the right screen is not restored correctly on start (moves to the left screen)
(the word "Monitor" stands for "GNOME System Monitor" below)
Steps to reproduce:
- Open Monitor on a system with two screens (monitors). My right screen has Quad HD resolution and left screen has Full HD resolution, which may or may not be relevant.
- Move the Monitor window to the right side of the right screen. Resize the monitor window to a fairly large size, maybe even maximize on the right screen.
- Close Monitor.
- Note that the window position is stored correctly in dconf:/org/gnome/gnome-system-monitor/window-state.
- Open Monitor again.
Observed behavior:
Depending on the stored Monitor window size and position, it can appear at the same place (correct), or on the left side of the right screen, or on the left side of the left screen. Closing the Monitor window without moving then stores the modified position in dconf.
Expected behavior:
Monitor always appears at the position stored in dconf, regardless of the stored window size and position (provided this position exists, i.e. both monitors are still connected).
This bug is not new. It has been annoying me for months.
System information:
- GNOME System Monitor 42.0
- Manjaro stable
- X11
- Xfce
