show CPU chart in multiple graphs
This is a feature request.
Nowadays CPUs are getting more and more cores. My laptop has 4 cores, and my desktop has 6; both have hyperthreading, so system will see 8 and 12 cores respectively. I find that a chart typically gets cluttered and difficult to read, when there are more than 4 lines in it. Maybe we can put them into multiple charts? For example, to split them into two charts, we put [0, n/2)
in the first one, and [n/2, n)
in the second. An additional benefit is that color-picking becomes easy, because we can re-use colors in multiple charts.
What do folks think?
Note: this idea is inspired by htop
, which can pack all CPUs in 4 or 8 columns at the top, so that we can have space for the other parts.
