Checking for updates very slow on DNF systems
I'm running Fedora 30 with gnome-software 3.32.4.
Lately, I noticed that checking for updates using gnome-software needs a very long compared to running sudo dnf check-update
.
Checking for updates via gnome-software easily take 5 minutes or more, while checking for updates using sudo dnf check-update
needs up to 20 seconds (and only if it has to fetch metadata).
This is not a one time problem, it happens everytime I check for updates. This does not happen on either Ubuntu (using apt) and Manjaro (using pacman).
