"software" runs and updates "gimp via flatpak" and breaks it.
See: gimp#3200 (comment 484799) for background.
In short "gimp 2.10.xx" can be run on Debian using flatpak. The install process on their site works fine. In order for it to work ,1st flatpak needs to be installed on Debian . I did this via synaptic . it ran fine, however "Gnome software" (I believe) did an update [ of flatpak?] this broke gimp 2.10 . It would seem that a "flatpak update" needed to be run as part of the update. There are various places this problem could lie. It's quite possible it needs to be referred onto the package maintainer ? However the view I have of it stops at the "Gnome software" doing an update.
