Software claims to have checked for updates, but this is not true
This is related to #17 (closed). To test, install a fresh Fedora Workstation from the live CD. After the first boot, open GNOME Software and navigate to the updates page. There will be a big checkmark showing that all software is up to date, and a timestamp of the last update check, probably showing exactly the current time.
This is a ludicrous lie. I have never updated the system before, so of course it is not up to date. Software should not show this checkmark until it has actually successfully completed a check for updates.
I've reported this in the past, but I can't find it anymore on GitLab and it's still an issue with Fedora 28, so trying again.
