Getting "Important OS updates have been installed." notification on each boot.
Since recent update I'm getting "Important OS updates have been installed." notification each time I'm turning on the laptop.
It comes from get_updates_historical_cb
$ /usr/bin/gnome-software --version
gnome-software 41.5
$ uname -r
5.19.0-42-generic
$ lsb_release -d
Description: Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS
$ journalctl -b | grep gnome-software
gnome-software[2265]: plugin fwupd took 2,8 seconds to do setup
gnome-software[2265]: failed to set proxy: GDBus.Error:org.gtk.GDBus.UnmappedGError.Quark._pk_2dengine_2derror_2dquark.Code3: setting the proxy failed: failed to get the uid
lenovo gnome-software[2265]: failed to set proxies: GDBus.Error:org.gtk.GDBus.UnmappedGError.Quark._pk_2dengine_2derror_2dquark.Code3: setting the proxy failed: failed to get the uid
I check the install-timestamp
value immediately after I logged in:
$ gsettings get org.gnome.software install-timestamp
int64 0
That's weird, it should already have non-zero value since it's not the first time when the notification showed up.
Then the notification shows up.
Then I check it again and the value is correct:
$ gsettings get org.gnome.software install-timestamp
int64 1685082587
Also tried to find if there some wrong future date which install-timestamp
is comparing with, but got nothing interesting:
$ fwupdmgr get-devices -v | grep Created
Created: 2023-05-26 # it seem to be always `today`
