Dependencies are not being removed after installing and uninstalling an app
Description
Dependencies don't get removed after an app is installed and uninstalled from Software. Running dnf autoremove
don't solve the problem and the packages get "lost" in the system, progressively consuming disk space each time you install a new app from Software.
Steps to reproduce
- Install Brasero via terminal with
dnf install brasero
and look at the dependencies that will be installed - Revert the transaction by using
dnf history undo [number]
- Install Brasero again, but using Software and uninstall it after it gets installed;
- Go back to terminal and remove the dependencies that were shown in the step 1
Seen behavior:
Dependencies will not be removed if you installed Brasero from Software. Here's the screenshot of when i installed Brasero from terminal:
When I uninstalled Brasero with the dnf history undo
command:
When I attempted to remove each dependency after installing/uninstalling Brasero from Software:
Expected behavior
All dependencies being removed.
Software version
- Fedora 35
- GNOME 41.5 Wayland
