panel: Trigger Activities button upon button press

Overview was toggled when mouse button was released over the Activities button. This commit changes this behaviour to mouse button press.

Solves #4897

@fmuellner Please have a look at this. I hope removing the vfunc_event(event) function does not affect anything else.
