workspacesView: Revert commits of !1119

Jonas Dreßler requested to merge verdre/gnome-shell:revert-actual-geometry-fix into gnome-3-36

Revert the two changes made in !1119 (merged) since apparently they cause issues with the overview for some people. Only do that for 3.36 since on the master branch the code triggering the error doesn't exist anymore.

This reverts commit bda8ba5e and 67b9386b
