Allow moving the clock from the center
The clock is currently fixed to the center of the screen. On wide-screen monitors, and especially on ultrawide monitors geared at productivity, this poses two problems:
- Notifications are grouped on the right, so when the user wants to check the clock and notification, they have to look in two places
- Since the content on the top line is pretty much limited to the clock and notifications, 90%+ of it is wasted
In addition, there's
- On the vast majority of other OSes and DEs, the clock and notifications are groped together. This makes it harder to transition to GNOME.
