wrong locale / translation for some strings in gnome shell (due to desktop-icons extension)
Hi. This is driving me crazy. Since my re-install of Manjaro, some strings of my gnome shell are not translated anymore to german. Only for one user. This happend to me for the first time, but the exact same this is on my nieces Computer for a longer time.
locale
LANG=de_DE.UTF-8
LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8
LC_NUMERIC="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_COLLATE="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_MESSAGES="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_NAME="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_TELEPHONE="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_ALL=
This is with Gnome 3.30. What I have tried so far:
- asked the community
- disable all themes, extensions to be on a pure gnome
rm -r ~/.cache
- switched to english, italian and back to german (with reboots in between)(the same strings are also missing when set to italian)
locale-gen
- tried it with a new user (where everything is in german and nothing is missing)
- switched between Gnome and Gnome on Xorg
I'm really out of ideas
