Poor GIF performance on browsers using gnome-shell with Wayland
I got some issues on Chromium and Firefox when a page contains animated GIFs. CPU usage is very high (on the browser and gnome-shell processes) and GIFs are lagging. I don't know if I should open it here, but it works a much better (no lagging and no high CPU usage) if I change from "Gnome Desktop over X" instead of "Wayland" on GDM login screen.
I'm currently using Debian (testing). gnome-shell is 3.30.1-2
I already tried to disable hardware acceleration on browsers, but the only change that make a difference on it is swapping back to X.
