Incorrect mousing area on Helldivers 2 with portrait second monitor
Affected version
- Arch Linux
- Gnome 46
- Only occurs on Wayland
- Occurs without extensions
Bug summary
In Helldiver 2 the mouse is restricted so the fullscreen can not be accessed with the mouse. This only effects when the mouse is visible. This issue seems to only occur when my secondary monitor is in portrait mode on either the left or right sides. My monitors are different resolutions (primary is 1440p and my secondary is 1080p), but the issue still occurs if I set both monitors to the 1080p.
I have tested this with KDE Plasma and X11, but the error only occurs on Gnome 46 using Wayland.
Steps to reproduce
- Have 2 monitors.
- Set up the primary monitor to be landscape and the second monitor to be portrait on either the left or right side.
- If the second monitor is in landscape or above/below the primary screen the issue does not occur.
- If the second monitor is on the right side the cursor is only limited vertically, while if it's on the left it's limited both vertically and horizontally.
- Open Helldiver 2 and go into any menu where the mouse cursor is visible.
- Try to use the mouse on the entire screen
- If the mouse cursor starts outside of the restricted area, you can use it without issues until it goes into the restricted area.
- When the window loses focus (such as by alt-tabbing) the mouse will act as normal until the game gains focus again.
