Task switcher grabs wrong programs during workspace transition

- OS: OpenSUSE MicroOS
- GNOME: 45.2
- SESSION: Wayland (did not test X)
- EXTENSIONS: Bug appears with extensions disabled
Bug summary
A few stars have to align for this issue to appear. If..
- Multitasking -> App Switching is set to "Include apps from current workspace only"
- You switch workspaces using the touchpad gesture (not the keyboard or mouse gesture)
- You quickly summon the task switcher
The task switcher will grab the wrong set of programs
Steps to reproduce
- Set Multitasking -> App Switching to "Include apps from current workspace only" in Gnome Control Center
- Use the TOUCHPAD GESTURE (3 finger swipe left/right) to switch workspaces
- Any time during the "switch workspace" animation, press
alt + tab
to summon the task switcher - Observe that the task switcher grabs programs from the SOURCE workspace
NOTE: The KEYBOARD GESTURE (function + super + arrow key) and MOUSE GESTURE (super + scroll wheel) behaves as expected (the task switcher grabs programs from the DESTINATION workspace)

I previously wrote that the mouse gesture caused this issue. That was a mistake. The mouse gesture DOES NOT cause this issue.
