Gnome Control Center won't save custom OpenVPN configurations.

Fedora 39 with Wayland, GNOME 45.0
Bug summary
When attempted to add a VPN configuration manually without using the importer the save button closes the menu but does not save the VPN configuration for OpenVPN.
Steps to reproduce
- Head to Gnome Control Center
- Open Network menu
- Click the plus next to the vpn category
- Click the OpenVPN option
- Enter the required information for your scenario (for me this was a password protected VPN)
- Click the add button on the top right.
What happened
The add button for OpenVPN configuration did not save but closed the menu with no given error.
What did you expect to happen
For control center to save the VPN configuration.
Relevant logs, screenshots, screencasts etc.
No logs in problem reporting nor messages in terminal.
