Bug summary
When the wallpapers directory is loaded with images, in my case over 1200, it takes the Settings / Appearance window a considerable amount of time to load, over 30 seconds.
I have tried installing QOI compatibility, converted all images to .qoi, resized all images to 1920x1080, and I'm still experiencing long load times. The original PNG directory was 8GB. After converting and resizing, 3.8GB. Nautilus handles opening these folders with thumbnails in roughly 1 second.
Steps to reproduce
- Place roughly 1000+ 1080p images in $HOME/.local/share/backgrounds
- Open Settings / Appearance
