Click on an event in the top panel open Gedit
Affected version
- Your OS and version : Manjaro Linux
- Affected GNOME Shell version: 44.3 and below
- Does this issue appear in XOrg and/or Wayland : Wayland yes, I don’t know for XOrg
- Does this issue happen without extensions : I didn’t test
Steps to reproduce
- Click on the date in the top panel to open the calendar/notification/météo pane
- Choose a date with on or several event in the calendar.
- Click on this event
What happened
An empty Gedit window open. If this feature is deliberate, I absolutely do not understand the purpose.
What did you expect to happen
Several possibilities :
- The default calendar app defined in gnome parameters (evolution, thunderbird…) opens directly at the clicked event
- A gnome popup opens to show the details of the event
- The clicked box extend to show the details of the event
Or whatever else which could give me more information on the event, no matter how.
