The volume value between GDM and GNOME Desktop is not synchronized
The volume value between GDM and GNOME Desktop is not synchronized. When shutting down, rebooting, or logging out and logging back in, GDM doesn't remember the volume that was set in the GNOME Desktop. It displays the value it had before the user logged in.
Example
- We are now at the GDM screen. We set the volume to 25%.
- In the GNOME desktop we start with some value that after 5-10 seconds it changes to 25% (hence the value that was in GDM. I find strange that it takes so long, it would feel better if the GNOME DE already starts with the volume value that was in GDM (I am also asking to remove this 5-10 seconds delay)).
- We now set the value to 60% (in the GNOME Desktop).
- When we log out, the volume in the GDM screen is set at 25% (it should be 60%).
- If we start the GNOME DE we are again at point 2.
If we change the volume after we logged in, the GDM should be either constantly "updated" or only in the end (before reboot/shutdown/log out/...), so that if we log out/reboot/shut down it know what value the volume was set at (in the above example it would be 60).
This bug doesn’t happen if I decide to suspend my laptop. Only during log out / shut down / reboot.
I am using Arch Linux with all latest updates.
