lock-screen doesn't follow user preferences
Affected version
Fedora silverblue 37 with gnome 43
also happened on Fedora workstation, with gnome 40, 41, 42
appearns in both XOrg and Wayland
Bug summary
I have an extension that modifies two parameters, to increase how often Gnome updates the background
on the lock-screen, these parameters seem to be ignored and it uses the default pre-sets instead
Steps to reproduce
- install extension (github or Gnome-Extensions)
- create and set a background with my script<\a> (use -t to set a time below 1sec)
- lock the system (super+L)
What happened
the parameters modified by the extension get ignored
(ui.background.ANIMATION_OPACITY_STEP_INCREMENT and ui.background.ANIMATION_MIN_WAKEUP_INTERVAL)
What did you expect to happen
the parameters to be respected, and have a refresh rate identical to the background when unlocked
