Calendar Notifications need more customized UI
Affected version
Fedora 36 Gnome 42
Bug summary
Gnome notification boxes have the following content:
- app icon on the left
- app name at the top (bold)
- notification's description in the bottom (A single line of text?)
Such notification are OK for messaging apps, mails, etc. I think it is not good enough for calendar events. Here's an example:
In one line of description, the following information is crammed:
- title
- time of the event
- interval of the event
- location of the event
I believe that the layout of calendar notifications should be customized to make it more readable so that user can quickly grasp the details of the event.
Here's an example of how it looks like on macOS:
I think it is better, because:
- The separate parts of the event information are split into lines (title, time, location)
- The event happens today, so instead of displaying the date (27.07.2022), it displays "Today" ("Dzisiaj" in the screenshot due to Polish language setting). I think it makes it much easier for the user to understand quickly that the event is actually today.
Steps to reproduce
- Just schedule any event
- Wait for the reminder notification to show up
What happened
The notification's UI makes it hard to read
What did you expect to happen
I'd expect the notification to be more readable, with separate parts of the event inforamtion to be split visually. Additionally, if the event happens not far from now, it'd be great to see words such as "Today", "Tomorrow" instead of specific dates.

I've shown screenshots above already.
